East of England (United Kingdom)

The East of England comprises of six counties and covers a territory of 19120 km2. It is one of the most water stressed regions in Europe. The water sector is characterised by several private sector utility providers and a set of business entities that employ 5000 people. In 2010 the Water Innovation Network was established as the region’s water cluster to boost collaboration and drive innovation. The region is home to Eco Cluster Peterborough, which along with the Water Innovation Network, is managed by Opportunity Peterborough.
